Michael Murphy (34) sits in the shadow of his Fight Club posters, a dejected air about him as he wonders what exactly it all means. Murphy a film enthusiast who list his four favourites on the popular social media film site as Goodfellas (in each slot) was flabbergasted at what he calls "A complete accident. I mean, there's a place for that stuff, but..." he trails off, brushing some crumbs from his Scarface T-Shirt. Favouring everything from genre films to, similar fare, he was scrolling through the site, Joker playing in the background, sure to comment on various reviews of those not giving such classics as Clockwork Orange its due, providing an 'education' while assuring its merely coincidence the majority to receive such enlightenment just happen to be women, noting "I'd agree with them, but then we'd both be wrong." His confidence buoyed, he happened upon a prominent reviewers write up for an independent art film making critical waves. When pressed on where he'd seen it , he slips effortlessly into his best Travis Bickel "You talkin' to me?" Not one to let the idea of review bombing influence his opinions as, "If that's how I feel, so be it." he leapt to action. This is when tragedy struck. As he was poised to perform his self ascribed duty, the microwave chimed and, distracted by his impending popcorn feast, his thumb slipped and instead of 1, struck the five star rating. Before he realised this egregious error, he logged it, his take now subject to the whims of the internet. As he settled back in to his recliner, several notifications popped up from his 'Droogs'. "I saw a bunch of their chirps and immediately realised what happened." He quickly rectified the situation but the damage had been done, with the screenshots to prove it, the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune now his to bare. "Look, I'd never actually enjoy somethin' like that, an' even if I did, who cares? Art's subjective anyway. Let people enjoy what they want..."
