Film Executive Imbued With Sense Of Urgency: Will Respond in 8-10 Months

As rising costs, more competition for viewership than ever, and now the threat of tariffs creating never ending stresses across the entertainment world, it’s reassuring to know film producers are still there to uphold the moral standard they’re synonymous with.

Many of those trying to break into the industry bemoan how difficult it is to get the attention of the powers that be, if they can be bothered at all. Well, thankfully this plight has not fallen upon deaf ears.

“This industry is widely known for its honest and considerate nature, so there’s no reason our correspondence shouldn’t reflect that.” Remarked producer Marcel Benoit when questioned at to why so many messages go unacknowledged. "It's unfortunate that the business has somehow garnered this reputation, and we're committed to change." He continued,. “We owe it to these talented individuals to respond in a timely fashion. Just because we deal with government grants doesn’t mean we should function like them.”

Marcel promised his production company FiveHole and the agencies he deals with would be different, and not simply let legitimate inquiries linger in the purgatory of an inbox. While sorting through the deluge of message may be "akin to deciphering a David Lynch picture, it's necessary in this day and age. Many talented artist, hopeful for their big break have been stuck in this limbo for no other reason than the misfortune of trying to reach out." This plight struck a chord and he vowed to ensure they'd be more diligent in this regard. forthright in why he felt this consideration was necessary. “Imagine the indignity of only being responded to because of your last name instead of on the basis of merit. What kind of message would we be sending?”

"We strongly believe in meritocracy and nepotism is not the way things will be handled here." He noted that he'd be sure to instil these values in his son and daughter when they take the reigns upon his retirement.
