We met the old fashioned way...online. Joshua McKenzie (28) found himself single yet again, and so the avid sportsman figured he'd cast a line into the oft tumultuous waters of dating apps. After perusing the handful of somewhat recent, soberish, photos he had, in a spark of genius, he settled on one of himself hoisting a trophy large-mouth bass, making this the centrepiece of his profile alongside the caption "Ready to land a keeper!"
Fortunately for his would be suitors, this wasn't the only such witticism his bio expounded. Aside from his "I'm a catch" T-Shirt, he'd also penned such Shakespearean sonnets as "Forget fishy characters, the cheats and drinkers , I'm ready to fall, hook, line and sinker." his bio a veritable litany of insight and romance. "Women like a guy who can charm them you know, and what better way than to combine your hobbies with that?" Never one trolling for compliments, he embraces the simply joy of this hobby. "I find it relaxing, being out on the water, just enjoying nature. What more do you need?" The comparison to his on plight were not lost on such an insightful individual. "Datin's a lot like fishin'. You're not always gonna catch the big one, but you gotta get your line in the water, even when she's choppy."
While this strategy may not bait everyone into swiping right, for some it's no nonsense approach was a hit. “It’s refreshing.” noted Katie Nichols (26) “There’s no games, you know what his interest are and what he wants.” In an effort to remove any lingering doubts as to who he is, Joshua also listed such esoteric hobies as hockey, golf and camping, giving a certain versimilitude to his unique profile.
